Pitching in for Kids (PIFK) was the inspiration of Carol Troxell and Sara Youngelson, two local business owners who wanted to give back to their community. PIFK was established in 2004 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children across the New England region. The organization raises funds by hosting unique events with prominent regional athletic figures. Tim Wakefield has been an advocate and active participant since PIFK's inception.
